Biltmore Title collects information from forms related to your real estate transaction such as but not limited to your name, address, social security number, tax identification number, asset information and income information.

Biltmore Title collects information for services performed by us, our underwriter, affiliates, or others, such as but not limited to information concerning your policy, premiums, payment history, information about your home or other real property, account balances, account information, information from lenders and other third parties involved in the transaction.

Biltmore Title collects information from reporting agencies and publicly recorded documents.

Biltmore Title collects information from our internet website such as your name, address, email address, and comments.

Information disclosed to affiliated and third parties

As permitted by law, Biltmore Title may provide personal information to affiliated companies, our underwriter and other unaffiliated third parties without obtaining your prior approval.  Disclosure of information may include but is not limited to:

  • Insurance underwriter, insurance agents, brokers, representatives, support organizations and or others to provide you with services you requested.
  • To third party contractors or service providers for the purpose of providing the services you have requested.
  • To lenders, lien holders, judgment creditors and or other parties claiming an interest in title whose claim or interest must be determined, settled and released prior to a title or escrow closing.
  • To an insurance regulatory authority, law enforcement, or other governmental authority in a legal action, in connection with a subpoena or a governmental investigation.

Confidentiality and Security of Personal Information

We restrict access to personal information about you to individuals who needs to know such information to provide product or services to you.   We maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect information collected of you.

Access to Your Information and Request to Correct, Amend or Delete Information

As required by law, you have the right to request access to personal information we record about you and request correction or deletion of personal information.
